The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK), NSRF 2014-2020 (Project code MIS: 5047133). PRECIOUS allows healthcare entities to conduct high-level research that requires computational infrastructure and software/tools for data analysis, utilizing the data available within the infrastructure with the ultimate goal of achieving precision medicine. PRECIOUS provides a cloud-based platform with exceptional processing capabilities that guarantees the privacy and security of hosted big medical data through the use of a federated data management technique. The platform's distinctiveness stems from its comprehensive, cloud-based solution that offers cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) services for precision medicine. These services cater to the distinct requirements of healthcare stakeholders, including the exchange, organization, harmonization, and administration of large medical data, creation of sophisticated models for diagnosis and prevention, and in-silico simulations of organs, diseases, devices, and clinical trials. PRECIOUS is an important step toward a healthier and more data-driven future as the healthcare industry develops further.
